At one time, this space was filled with hay to feed the
gentle milk cows that lived below. Now it has been transformed into a
spacious, luxurious, one-bedroom, two-bath suite with some of the most
fantastic views of the surrounding property, Titus Creek, and the Blue
Mountains.
Walking into the tower entrance and ascending the long,
gradual stairwell, you will immediately begin to settle into your retreat.
Once upstairs, the architecture features the drama of both high ceilings
supported by recycled beams and doors rescued from a fire damaged home.
Original hayloft barn doors have maintained their same vigilance for over
one-hundred years. The chandelier in the tower room is suspended by a
chain made of bits from bridles of mule teams that once worked the farm.
Venetian plaster throughout is beautiful to the eye, and floors filled
with radiant heat provide comfort for the feet.
The heart of the entire space opens onto a long deck, through
multiple French doors that allow the light to stream in. To the southeast
you can view the sunrise and glowing foothills of the Blue Mountains,
and to the west spectacular sunsets fill the sky over the breakfast garden,
vineyards, and fields beyond. Later, the night sky is magical.

The beautiful master bedroom, with king-sized bed, features
a romantic antique armoire. An adjoining bath is richly appointed with
a charming, antique marble sink that once resided in a local historic
hotel. Two shower heads are features of the large, tiled shower.
There is a surprise second sleeping area for those who wish
to share their Hayloft experience with friends. A queen-sized Murphy bed
folds out of a fabulous armoire and a privacy curtain closes off the room.
An adjoining bath features a deep, spa-like tub for luxurious bathing.
A tiny alcove is filled with bathing treasures.
Whether one couple or two, our guests will enjoy the
comfortable furniture in multiple sitting areas. A small butler's pantry
with sink, fridge, and bar in the main living area provides ample space
to prepare an hors d’oeuvre. On brisk evenings, a pretty gas stove
will take away the chill and add a cozy atmosphere for those lazy evenings
at home. A large television is featured in this area as well, but books,
music, games, and the view may trump the television for your attention.
